Owners of more than one home or residential property must pay an annual charge to the local authority.  It is intended that the money collected from this chagre will help fund local authority services.

If you own more than one residential property on 31 July 2009, you must pay the charge of €200 unless it is a mobile home, caravan or granny flat.

The charge must be paid by 30 September 2009.  A late fee of €20 is charged for each month, or part of a month after 30 September.

The charge of €200 and any late fees are paid to the local authority in which the property is located.  From 31 July 2009, you can pay the charge online at www.nppr.ie.
